I want a song that is emotional but not to much I’m 14 so a song that fits, i don’t want Disney songs though. My friend suggested Face Down and Welcome To My Life but I’m not really sure if those would work.

    depends on your range.

try songs from musicals, there should be many many emotional songs there.

soon as i get home from the wiz, maybe.

i really don’t know your range but that should work if you’re a soprano or mezzo. possibly alto.

Well I would suggest Don’t Cry for Me Argentina from the musical Evita. The song has a good flow and it’s not that hard to learn. I also suggest the song There’s a Fine, Fine Line from Avenue Q.

It really does depend on your vocal range. Some songs that I have sung might be what you are looking for:

    1. A Change in Me - Beauty and The Beast
    2. Home - Beauty and The Beast
    3. A Bit of Earth - The Secret Garden
    4. Hopelessly Devoted to You - Grease
    5. I’m Not That Girl - Wicked
    6. They Say It’s Wonderful - Annie Get Your Gun
    7. Look to The Rainbow - Finian’s Rainbow
    8. I’ll Know - Guys and Dolls
    9. Children Will Listen - Into the Woods
    10. Lament - Evita
    11. On My Own - Les Miserables
    12. Someone Like You - Jekyll and Hyde

    good luck!

If you really want to “wow” an audience, sing something by Gershwin or anyone who has written well known Broadway songs. “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess is a beautiful one.
However, if you want to sing something more modern, do a song that has piano accompinament. Look for songs by Ben Folds, Dashboard Confessionals, Coldplay, or Death Cab for Cutie.
    Good luck!
