Ok so I need two classical songs to audition with. Im trying to get into an arts high school. I’m not really classicaly trained in fact I have very little experiance singing classical songs. However, I need two songs, one in english and one in another language, that a mezzo-soprano can sing to hopefully impress the school. Thanks for helping.

whatever you choose dont mess up the lyrics.
which language do you know? usually done in latin or french
you’ll need someone nearby to assist you so they can hear you and advise.
try searching an old movie list.
or show tune
unless its really classical then it would be opera. dont sing nasally.
good voice comes from within not your nose or head.

Since you’re a fledgling vocalist, I’m going to recommend a couple of songs that have a good range and use a lot of legato [smooth] phrases as opposed to vocal pyrotechnics.
So, I recommend recommend the Bach-Gounod “Ave Maria.” It’s got some passion, and is a nice change since far too many people do the Schubert setting [it's very pretty, but overdone]. And although the accompaniment is by J.S. Bach, it’s really quite easy. Oh, and the piece is in Latin, so there’s your foreign language selection. Latin pronunciation is basically the same as Italian — “A, E, I, O, and U” are pronounced “ah, eh, ee, oh, oo”. All five are contained in the food name “fettucini alfredo.”
For consonants, you might seek out a choir director at a local Catholic or Episcopalian church.
For the English selection, Samuel Barber’s song “Sure on this Shining Night” is rapturously beautiful. It has a nice aching quality, and is so well written that it makes just about any singer shine.
Oh, and both of these selections are available in more than one key, so since you’re a mezzo go with the “Low Voice” choice.
Best of luck with the audition!

Alma Del Core is a great song to start with for a middle high voice (and I can scan in sheet music for you, along with my english translated lyrics) The most important thing in singing in another language is that you KNOW what you are singing about. ALWAYS translate. Just email me, I can definitely help you out with the foreign languages
