How many songs is it possible to learn the lyrics too?

I suddenly realised just how many songs I know the words to, and it must be at least 300 or something. Even really scream-y songs I know vaguely. How many songs do you think it’s possible to learn the lyrics too? Anyone know a phenomenal number of songs off by heart (say, thousands?), or know anyone who does? How many songs can an average person learn?

    i know about 40 songs off by heart
    fluently :) most by tokio hotel
    and lots of classics :) i even know the german songs by TH

    I know the lyrics to alot of songs but I couldn’t put a number on it,
    But I guess it’s just like learning anything else, ya know?
    If you’re willing to learn thousands of song lyrics, I’m sure you could

    Well I think it depends on the person themselves. Some people can only remember 1 and some can remember millions. I can remember like 500 or something around that number. It also depends on if the person likes music. If not then they wouldn’t WANT to remember any. I think the average person can remember around 50-100 songs but thats just my guess. Hope it helps! =)

    I think it’s possible to learn the lyrics to any or all songs ever. I really don’t see why there would be a limit. I myself must know like a million songs (obviously not literally), but I’m sure I could learn more. Course remembering every single one is another story…;D

    I think it’s possible to learn the lyrics to as many songs as a person likes and some that they don’t like that they overplay on the radio. I also know the lyrics to alot of songs. You put on some AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden - anything like that or southern rock such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Boston and I’ll know the lyrics to all of them. It all depends on the person and how many times that you hear the song in your life. I really haven’t tried to count how many songs that I know the lyrics of but it’s probably at least 500. That should mean that I have a good memory but I’d forget my head if it weren’t attached to my neck so I don’t think it’s that.

    Based on the person. As it is I know every song that I like or have been forced to listen to more then a few times. That list continues to grow and I can’t see it stopping any time soon. Funny enough though I can tell you the lyrics I probably couldn’t name half the songs or the singer/s (I’m bad at remembering names).
