Footage rescued/spliced by Pete Seager. Only one photo exists of Blind Wille Mctell. The only one you’ll ever see. Leadbelly pardoned by Texas Governor Pat Neff on a song. Leadbelly released from Angola prison because of Clemency Law not because of song he gave to John Lomax. John Lomax profited on the life story and songs of Leadbelly. Son Allen Lomax was Leadbellys friend and helped him record more songs. Leadblly, Pete Seager, Woody Guthrie, Brownie McGee, Sonny Terry recored together NYC.
