Is it possible to export songs directly from an ipod nano into your itunes library? How?

The songs in my itunes library completely vanished somehow. Luckily I still have my songs on my iPOD nano. I’ve heard that you can export songs from your iPOD onto you library. How do you do this if it’s possible?

Make sure you don’t install iTunes yet (if it is uninstall it), but here’s a step-by-step way to do..it happened to me also a mos. ago:
1. Make sure “My Computer” is open
2. Plug in your iPod, and highlight it (click on it ONCE)
3. In the Tools menu -> Options, in the View Tab, check “Show hidden files and folders.” Click Ok
4. Once you have done this access your “iPod” drive (it should look like a removable disk thing.)
5. Then there should be an iPod folder that is translucent; open it and find the music folder. (All of your music should be in MULTIPLE folders)..this is the TIME CONS
UMING part
6. Open each folder (the songs may be named a different file name ex. Before: Boys Like Girls - Thunder.mp3..in your iPod it’s gonna be named AY56M.mp3) and copy/move the songs into a folder in your hard drive. [Also just right-click on the song and click properties and it'll show the info of that song..so you'll know which osng is which.]
7. If you FEEL like renaming all the files go for it..but iTunes still recognizes each song normally. So when you add it to your library it won’t say “AY56M”..it’ll show the artist and song name.
-This way you don’t have to deal with buying/”trialing” iPod to Computer softwares.
