How can i get songs onto my itunes list?

I’ve asked this before, but my brother downloaded songs for me from his laptop. Now, Im using my laptop now and want to download songs. When i sync my new songs onto my ipod will the old ones get deleted? If so, is there a way to save them?

Yes unless you click don’t overwrite. There is a button on the bottom of the Itunes page, under the autofill button. Make sure you have don’t overwrite or replace all checked.

I faced the same problem lol.. what you do is connect the ipod and when it tries to sync click the X button so it doesn’t sync. Then go to your ipod summary page. At the bottom u will have an option called “Manually manage music and videos” tick that and 2 of the total options will be disabled. Anyway.. now the songs that u want to put shud be in the iTunes library. Select them from there and drag them with the curser until it hovers over ur iPod’s name on the left side of te page.. then let it go and the songs will be automatically put on ur iPod.. without u losing the old songs … =]

yo it dependz wat kinda ipod u gt, if it da ipod touch or da iphone, den if u sink it wid ur comp wen i haz alredy bin synced wid anuza comp zen all ur previous songs will be deleted 4 sum stupid reoson, but 4 all da rest it shud be fine (apart from sum ov da newer 1’s coz im nt sure bout dem) but if u du hav da touch or iphone den du wat i did wid my iphone wen i synced it 2 my comp, rite down all da songs dat u wanna keep den sync it wid ur comp, den re-download all of da songs

get limewire. download songs.
then copy and paste them onto itunes.

First, you have to check a little square on the bar that says ipod when it’s connected to your laptop. There is a little square that says if you want to sync your ipod manually which allows you to add or remove songs at will. If you do this, then you your songs won’t get deleted. This is how I sync two ipods on my laptop and it has worked perfectly so far.
