Top 10 cartoon theme songs from the 80’s

I was talking to a freind of mine and telling him how much cooler the cartoons were when I was a kid compared to the cartoons from the 90’s and today. So that and retrojunk.com inspired me to make this video. The criteria for my top 10 is not the quality of the shows but the quality of the opening intro and Theme song. If it was a top cartoons of the 80’s I would have included Robotech, Silverhawks, GI joe you know stuff like that.

    Ohhh My God. Wheel Warriors, Mask, I loved all these shows. But I can not believe that you have Mighty Orbots on here, I was sure I made that up as a kid. Thanks for the memories.

    Some many class tunes in that selection but not my top 10. Missing entries would include Cities of Gold, Dogtanian, Godzilla, George of the Jungle, even He-man deserves a mention. The 70’s had some great stuff as well, battle of the Planets, Rentaghost, Jamie and teh Magic Torch (Jamie! Jamie!)…

    Considering that I lived through the 80s watching cartoons, I do not remember a single one of these shows. Not the greatest themes either.

    I was born in 1979 and recognise only a few of these cartoons, british kids tv in the 80’s was about 70% foreign imports. It was nice to see Pole Position, my sister and I loved this, along with defenders of the earth. But where is the snorks, paw paw bears, ewoks, droids, smoggies, mysterious cities of gold, dogtanian and Thunderbirds 2086?

    i grew up in the 80’s that took place in the United States. Some of our cartoons never made it across the border into Canada. All in all, besides Mask, Gem and the go-bots, the rest were actually not the more popular of the 80’s cartoons
