What songs would be good on a playlist for a middle school dance?

I need a good idea of what to get because the theme is disco, and i need some good (clean) awesome songs to play at the dance. it doesn’t need to all be disco/70s, it can be newer hip songs everyone knows. we (student council) need to give the lady in charge a playlist within two weeks so she can give it to the dj.

a favorite is the ( i think this is the title) “dance dance revolution” song “take two steps to the right, right foot, left foot now cha cha”
YMCA and saturday nigth fever are fun. remember to have the dj put in some current hit that the studnets will like- avril levinge is popular, so is walk it out, pop lock and drop, the oooh snap song, panic at the disco, etc.

I would suggest mixing in different genres, such as rap, R&B, etc. I can suggest some stuff though. Also include some slow songs!(a must!)
Avril Lavigne(as the other person said)
Rihanna
that “every time you touch” song
If you want really clean songs, try Disney soundtracks(Hannah Montana, Jonas brothers, HSM/HSM2, Miley Cyrus)

“I like big butts” by Sir mix-a-lot.
just kidding….
Any songs from highschool musical, or N’Sync, Backstreet Boys would still be a hit. Will Smith, he’s a “clean” rapper.
Or do a POLL at the school, post on the Bulittin Board.
a Suggestion Box at the cafeteria.
