I don’t have the usb cable, but can i transfer songs by just inserting a memory card into a card reader and then putting the songs onto the memory card itself. Will that work?

yup that’ll work, or use a wap upload site.
I usually go to davidpye.com/wap and upload from my pc, then i use my phone to go to the site using the tzones on my cell then download it directly to my phone. Either way works great.

What’s your memory card’s capacity? The manual says it supports up to 1GB, although there are some people who had issues using this type of memory card w/ the sync phone. Some are saying that the phone can’t read the card. If such will be the case w/ you try using a card w/ a lower capacity, like a 512MB perharps.

Now, before you transfer the MP3 files to your card check and see first if the files are DRM protected. DRM is like a copywright protection on the songs. You wont be able to play the songs on your phone if they are protected.

Also, Audio files less than 600 KB are treated as ringtones, whereas audio files which are greater than 600 KB are stored in the Music Folder. A user can not set an MP3 file as a ringtone if it is larger than 600 KB.
