Is there a fast way to transfer songs from an external hard drive to Itunes?

I am putting all my songs on an external hard drive for when a get a new computer this spring. So is there a fast way I can transfer all the songs from the external hard drive to Itunes when i get my computer? Or do I have to transfer one song at a time? I will have 15,000 songs, so If I have to transfer one song at a time it will take forever. Any suggestions?

put all the songs into a folder, save the folder into a usb stick but i dont think there one with that much memory thou, or you can just go to a computer store and they will do it for you
